NEWS & NOTES Fall/Winter 2011
We’ve moved and we’re charmed by our new space. We’re still in New Preston, but now on the second floor of the Dawn Hill Antiques building at the intersection of East Shore Road (Route 45) and Main Street, next to the 9 Main Restaurant.
The space is broken up into rooms, 3 of which are ours. The other two rooms are occupied by antique dealers — Barry and Rebecca Strom Antiques and Nemati Antique Rug Gallery. So, there’s always a new corner to explore, a new treasure to discover. And, downstairs, there is Dawn Hill Antiques, 18th and 19th century antiques from Sweden, France and England. We love the mix.
We’re filling the new space with our Fall/Winter clothing and accessories. Each new delivery elicits oohs and aahs. We have new lines and the best of our old favorites, from the USA and around the globe: Elm Design from Iceland; Re-Set (“Resist Settling Down”) and Guido Lombardi from Italy; OSKA , Elemente Clemente and Studio Rundholz from Germany, Mouse Ji, designed in France; Moyuru from Japan; Groa from Denmark and Porto, Comfy USA, Sun Kim, Fabrizio Gianni, Planet and Vitamin from the USA. Jewelry, belts, scarves and bags are plentiful and round out our collections.
We have a delightful baby section and, as before, gifts, personal items and Holiday décor.
And we’re very proud of our new Village website: www.newprestonct.com (to be updated very soon to reflect The Firehouse’s move to 11 Main Street)
Visit us in our beautiful, new location. Enjoy the same warm and helpful service.
